Our region, in which we both sell and manage property, is the world-renowned county of Monterey, on California's Central Coast. In Sales, we represent both buyers and sellers of real property. The broker and salespeople know Monterey County well, and follow the market. For buyers, we make a special effort to find the best financing, and then the best possible property for your specific desires. For sellers, we market each property with special care. After all, we are not a large company, and each listing is very important to us. We believe we have a very good marketing plan, and, indeed, it has worked very well over the years; most of our listings result in a successful sale of the property. In our view of ourselves, we are skilled negotiators, more than salespeople, and the staff conducts itself accordingly.
As to Property Management, Custom House Realty currently manages more than a hundred and fifty tenants. We offer a full range of services to the owner at a reasonable rate, aggressively market vacant property, and quickly take care of problems that arise. We make a special effort to find quality, long-term, reliable tenants. Once again, we have had good success in this effort, with few vacancies, usually, and few evictions. Nicole Nancy Amaral
is a Monterey native who never ventured away from Monterey County.
She resides in Carmel with her husband and son.
She graduated from Monterey Peninsula College before transferring to California State University of Monterey Bay. She earned a B.A. in Liberal Studies in 2001 and went on to receive her CLAD Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 2002. Nicole worked as a substitute/summer school teacher throughout her undergraduate work. After finishing her teaching credential, she became an English Language Development teacher and an intervention specialist for at risk students.
She went on to teach 7-12th grade full time in Marina for eight years. Nicole received her Master's of Education in Curriculum in 2006 from University of Phoenix online. She began teaching as an online facilitator for University of Phoenix in 2009.
Nicole became licensed as a Zumba instructor in 2009. She has enjoyed teaching at a handful of gyms and studios as well as fundraisers and events throughout the years. Terry Wecker served as the office manager for Custom House Realty from its founding bringing dedication, professionalism, and heart to the organization from day one. Prior to that, he spent nearly twenty-five years working in real estate in a variety of roles, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues throughout the industry.
Beyond his professional career, Terry was widely known for his tireless and energetic service to the community. His commitment to giving back was extraordinary. He served as Secretary of the Rotary Club of Monterey for more than ten years and was a past President of the Monterey High School Instrumental Music Boosters. Terry also devoted his time to youth sports, managing and coaching Pony Baseball.
A passionate advocate for community causes, Terry was Chairman of the Monterey Rock and Rod Festival, a benefit supporting Gateway Center of Monterey County, Inc. He was a past President of Gold Coast Rods and the Compari Club, and served as a Director of Gateway Center. Within the real estate community, he generously gave his time as a past director, treasurer, and committee chairman, contributing countless hours of service over the years.
Terry dedicated his life to helping people - whether through homeownership, community leadership, or quiet acts of service. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the organizations he strengthened, and the community he loved so deeply.
